The Beach

So we packed our bags and took our first family vacation as a family of five! We went to the Oregon coast and stayed at Rockaway beach. We also visited Canon Beach.

The boys had a blast playing in the sand. They found all kinds of treasure, otherwise known as seaweed, seashells, etc. and built a fort.

We rented a hotel room right on the beach with a little deck, ahh . . . so relaxing!

This was Nathan's first time seeing the ocean and it was love at first sight! He couldn't get enough of the sand and kept wiggling his toes in it. He also took every opportunity to try and shove a handful of sand in his mouth when mommy wasn't looking!

The Oregon coastline is amazingly beautiful and it was so nice to just soak in its beauty.

Nathan is almost six months old! Here he is cuddling with Daddy. Our boys are so blessed to have such a great papa.
Nathan had his first taste of real food today! Yummy rice cereal. He has been eyeing all of our food for the last few weeks. He wasn't quite sure about it though, and grimaced and gagged his way through it! What a face! How cute!

The magnolias are still in bloom here in Portland. We went for a walk at the Arboretum on the magnolia trail. At the end it started to hail on us and we had to run the rest of the way to the car! Such is springtime here where we seem to have all of the seasons almost everyday.

We have recently planted a garden at the side of our house. Christophe taught the boys all about planting seeds Popola style. It is so much fun to see them learning about where we get our food. Hopefully we will have some vegis to show for it!
