Popola et Grand-maman

We have "un bon souvenir" of our time with Popola and Grand-maman. We had a few day trips in Oregon including Multinomah falls, Ecola state park and Cannon Beach. Mostly though we just stayed home and enjoyed each other.

Maxou

Maxou, our rabbit has been a fun addition to the family. He has a sweet personality and loves to play with the boys.

San Francisco Feb 2011

Chrissy fields, a bit cold but still as beautiful as we remembered. The kids are truly beach bums and had a blast.

Dad, Deborah and Gabe had never been to Coit tower so we hiked up there to get a view of the city. Nathan even climbed up the hill and all the stairs by himself (see video at the bottom). Earlier in the day he was carrying Grandma's suitcase around earning him the nickname Hercules. Zach is being his usual onery self!

The boys had so much fun hanging out with Alyssa and Lauren their cousins.

A walk in the Botanical gardens with coffee and chocolate bread from Arzemendi - just like old times!

Monterey Feb 2011

We went to Monterey with my sister Deborah, her girls and our parents. We went to the aquarium and saw the new sea horse exhibit. It was fantastic. Afterwards we went to the Giradelli chocolate factory for ice cream . . . yum!

Zachary 7th Birthday!

Zachary is 7 years old! We had a great birthday party as a family. I made a couple of lego men cakes one spaceman and the other just standard guy. They were so excited to eat their heads that they were soon decapitated! We had a great dinner (a feast as Zachary put it!). Then he opened some nice gifts and this year he can read his own birthday cards!
We looked at his birth photo album - it seems like just yesterday that we were bringing him home! Nathan especially liked the balloons.

Snow in Portland

It snowed unexpectedly today in Portland. We got between 6-8 inches. I was at work but the boys were all home and played outside for hours. Then they had to pick me up at work and we got in a small fender bender on the way home - oh well, everyone is ok. It was crazy there were buses stopped sideways blocking off all traffic and accidents everywhere! Not to mention there wasn't a snowplow in sight! Nathan put on his snow outfit and took a turn playing in the snow as well. He LOVED it!

Merry Christmas!
